PROJECTS
Threads of Kindness
We rely on the generosity of the community to keep our free store stocked with clothing and shoes. Donations of gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories are accepted at our location during regular business hours. We then sort and organize the donations, making sure that they are clean and in good condition before putting them up for free for anyone in need to take. Our goal is to provide clothing and shoes to those who may not have the resources to purchase them on their own, and to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all who visit our store. We believe that everyone deserves access to clean, comfortable clothing, and we are dedicated to serving our community in this way.

Sole to Soul
Providing Free Shoes for a Stronger Community is a project initiated by UNITY Native American Tribe, aimed at improving the lives of those in the community who are in need of shoes. The project is part of our broader mission to support and empower the Native American community in Chicago and beyond. Shoes can provide comfort and protection, while also boosting self-esteem and confidence. Our goal is to provide a wide range of shoes, including athletic shoes for children, work boots for adults, and dress shoes for those who may be seeking employment.
Through donations from our community and beyond, we will be able to offer a variety of sizes and styles to fit the diverse needs of those we serve. Our hope is that this project will not only provide necessary footwear, but also create a sense of community and support among those who receive them.

Tribal Identification Cards
Upon enrollment as a member of the tribe, an identification card will be issued to you, which may be utilized as a personal identification. The card prominently displays the individual's right to remain silent on its front face, and attests to the individual's Native American heritage. As a tribal member, it is confirmed that you are a native of the American continent.
Your identification card bears important legal information, including your right to remain silent and the right to have legal representation present during any questioning. It is advised that you seek the advice of your own attorney for any legal matters. It is imperative to avoid carrying false identification on your person, and to secure all legal documents in a safe location. Additionally, refrain from carrying any identification that may suggest foreign citizenship. Finally, it is crucial to exercise your right to remain silent until your legal counsel is present.
Hands of Hope
As UNITY is a Native American Tribe that aims to support and empower the community, our "Hands of Hope," provides free household essentials and hygiene products to families and individuals in need. This project includes collecting donations of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other household essentials, and distributing them to those who are struggling to make ends meet. The project could includes educational resources on healthy hygiene practices and household cleaning techniques. The goal of the project is to ensure that everyone in the community has access to the basic necessities that are essential for a healthy and happy life.
